Designed and built as a wedding gift for a friend, this keepsake box is made from solid walnut and features maple spline accents. A stunning continuous grain wraps the entire box, the result of using one single board in its construction, and the handle is wrapped in waxed cotton to give a tactile, warm feel. The inside was left open to allow items of various size. Featuring traditional joinery throughout, this piece was constructed with no metal fasteners whatsoever — only hand cut joinery and glue.
