Custom TV Console

This custom TV console was made from solid sapele and features traditional joinery throughout. Special attention was paid to the grain orientation, and the vertical striping patterns are the result of quarter sawing this lumber. This material is sometimes referred to as “ribbon stripe” sapele for its striking visual pattern.

This client needed a piece that would sit in the middle of a large room, so special attention was paid to the back of the piece to ensure it would be as aesthetically pleasing as the front, and that no fasteners would be visible. Featuring reeded cabinet doors, adjustable shelves, and access for power cords routed through the bottom, this custom furniture piece is one of a kind.
